I'm pretty good at NOT having the appropriate pieces we need to make life run a little more smoothly, like socks or pajamas or shoes for that matter. Someone is always looking for socks around here! After four kids you sort of just expect there to be some of all of those things lying around. It's one of my weaknesses, staying on top of what we need so that our everyday is less hectic. Well, raincoats are one of those items I tend to forget to have for my kids, and it always results in the six of us huddled under one umbrella, which obviously is not an effective staying-dry method. Anytime I just bite the bullet and spend the money to invest in the staples that make this family machine work as it should, it changes our lives for the better. It's not easy either. Being a parent and providing all a family needs is certainly a full-time job, so in an effort to make your job easier, I am sharing my new favorite kids' raincoat!
There are plenty of raincoat options for kids out there, but none are quite as perfect as these. It's no secret I appreciate classic and vintage kids' clothing, so it should come as no surprise that I'm crazy nuts for the classic design of these little slickers. Because I am. Crazy nuts in love with these things! Fantastic quality. And the little detailing of the red zipper! All just so, so good.
These are from Hanna Andersson. Hanna Andersson has been around for many years, but as long as I have had kids, I've only ever bought their swimwear (which is wonderful by the way). I am here to tell you, I have been very foolish for not investing in more pieces from HA! Recently, HA sent over some things for us to try, and I whole-heartedly love every single piece, from these classic raincoats to the pjs all the way down to the socks. I'm sold 100%! If you are looking for a brand that you can trust to last, one that provides those basics you always need, at a reachable price point for parents of multiple children, look no further. I would not lead you astray! You will love the fabrics and durability of Hanna Andersson.
I also love that the jackets are sized a bit generously so my kids can get at least two years of wear, if not more, out of them. As a parent, when you invest in these things, it's good to know they will get you through more than one season!
The jeans and tee Tom is wearing, simple in design (which I love), but I promise, highest of quality. Sorry to sound like a broken record here, but if you take anything away from this post, I want it to be the respectable quality of Hanna Andersson's brand.
While you're visiting the Hanna Anderson site, be sure and snag this dress. Best of the best. Thick, durable fabric, comfortable cut, great length, and pockets. It also does this cute little cross over thing in the back that I love. It's great for spring and summer or layered over a long sleeve shirt in cooler weather.
HA is great at thinking of everything kids need to look cute and also play comfortably. What you can't see here is the little bike shorts Enid is wearing under her dress. She's gotten to the age where she wants to be running and climbing and riding bikes but obviously doesn't want anyone seeing her undies. These little shorts are great for girls who like the comfort of dresses but want the functionality of pants.
With two raincoats, I now am halfway to being fully prepared for the spring showers, so I'm going to hop along with you over to the Hanna Andersson site and get jackets for my other two kids, since they go from sizes 12-18 months all the way up to age 12-teen! Gotta love a kids' brand that goes higher than size 6! And I guess I shouldn't be calling it a "kids brand". They also offer great pieces for women and a number of home goods!
